Bi-Lingual,
Color-Blind Chiropractor Opens Hip “Green” Practice in
Highlands’ Garden Village
Denver, Colorado, May 27,
2008 - Scott Evans, D.C., owner of Vida Chiropractic
Studio makes a bold entrance into Highlands Garden Village
on 38th Avenue and Tennyson Street in Denver’s Highlands
neighborhood. A principled, Spanish-speaking, Dr. Evans
delivers a unique chiropractic experience utilizing green
design and bright inviting colors to Vida.
Vida is featured in the 2008 Summer edition of Ensemble
magazine for Benjamin Moore Paints for its combined
influence of green design and particularly vibrant color
combination. Dr. Evans wanted to surround himself with
colors he could enjoy and originally asked his designer,
Cecily Tinder, principal designer of N-Spaces interior
design firm, for as many green design options as possible
and an amazingly bright palette of colors to create his new
studio.
Ms. Tinder remembers, “When Scott told me he was
color-blind, I gave him a fan deck of paint colors and
asked what colors he liked and could see. He pulled out
several that were on the verge of fluorescent. I thought
wow, this is going to be a challenge. The result though was
a brilliant combination of natural tranquility. I love it
when people comment about the spaces I’ve designed with
vibrant colors, exclaiming how ‘relaxing’ they are. It’s
truly contradiction to what we have typically deemed as
such in our surroundings. Vida is a perfect example of
that.”
